Connecticut Better Business Bureau Recognizes Roccie's Asphalt Paving with

2008 Business/Consumer Education Award

STAMFORD , Connecticut - Providing consumer education, especially helping the first-time buyer, is the hallmark of a company trying to help establish value as the true barometer of a good buying decision.   Providing it in such extensive and diverse ways as Roccie's Asphalt Paving is worthy of special recognition.   So it was when the Connecticut Better Business Bureau (CTBBB) awarded Roccie's the 2008 Business/Consumer Education Award.

"Many of our customers are first-time purchasers of asphalt driveways and masonry and are completely unfamiliar with how to determine their best deal for price and value," stated Vinnie Engongoro, President and Owner of Roccie's Asphalt Paving of Stamford.   "Only asking 'how much does it cost' and 'when can you start' leaves too many homeowners completely dissatisfied with their home improvement experience," Mr. Engongoro added.  Over 2,300 complaints and lawsuits are filed each year with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection and the CTBBB against home improvement contractors.  Education to help Connecticut consumers avoid the grief, anxiety, pitfalls and aggravation when it comes to buying a new driveway or masonry is extremely beneficial.

"A recent study of 1,000 home improvement customers found that 50% would NOT hire their contractor again," cited Mr. Engongoro .   "That means that the likelihood of a successful project is that of a coin toss to the un informed," he continued.   Roccie's provides some of its decision-making and buying information as part of their Anxiety Avoidance Program and Your Driveway - The Right Way information packet .  "My dad, Roccie, started this company in 1956. He knew back then that educating the homeowner was the key to success.  We're very happy that the CTBBB recognized us for this," concluded Mr. Engongoro.   

Connecticut Better Business Bureau Recognizes Paul Zanesky with the 2008 award for Best Service by a Company Employee

Mr. Paul Zanesky, the Field Superintendent for Roccie's Asphalt Paving, was recently awarded the 2008 Connecticut Better Business Bureau Award for Superior Service by a Company Employee.

The award is a highly coveted and distinguishing honor given only to the best of the best in consumer relations.

Paul Zanesky was chosen from a field of many competitors and attributes his success in part to the training he gets at Roccie's Asphalt Paving and from the support he receives from the rest of the team at Roccie's.
